I finally got around to blogging again. After a long hiatus, which I know is now normal here in my blog, I get to post some of which was taken last year or 2 to 3 months ago. Here are a bunch taken in January. I have been loving that "film camera" feel to photos for quite some time now and you might see them in the next few posts.
Being found breathless lately with how fast time goes by. These are the times where adult decisions needs to be made. I'm not growing any younger for my age is not included in the teen years anymore. Can't believe that in just a year I'll be graduating in a course I now can confirm I am happy and contended with. To tell the truth, it took me 3 years to accept that I am a Fashion student. My heart was telling me 'Yes you love Fashion' but my mind says 'No' because many people will look down on you for not a lot succeed in this field. For 3 years this was my dilemma, looks small for many but for me it's a big deal. My College course directs me to the career path I am going to take so for me it is something that really needs to be thought of very well. Many incoming College students go through the same problems. We keep on creating questions in our minds. At that time, when I was really confused, God spoke to me telling that I just need to trust Him. I entered College even though part of me was unhappy. During God's process of having me realize His plans, I learned to accept that this is what He wants for me and that this is where I will excel and it was the truth. I am now excited for the great things there is in store for me in the incoming years.
2016 has so far been good to me. Even this view is leaving me breathless. These bunch was taken in January where I had the chance to go on a 2 day stay in the beach with my family. All I can say is God is truly an amazing creator.
Watching 40's to 80's inspired films lately have got me wanting to experience those decades. That nostalgic feeling is making me wish that I was born from those years. Despite the unlikely wars, I am still persistent about the idea of going back in time to have a little taste of the good old's lifestyle. Other than the lifestyle, I am also much in love with their Fashion. It was within those years that I am so inspired of in terms of Fashion. People looked clean and well polished. Everyone looked elegant, either men or women.
These are the types of style I wanted to bring back to the industry of Fashion soon. In the future, when I become a Fashion Designer, as I hope I would be, I'd like to put on that skin of confidence to everyone wearing my pieces. Also, considering our country's current state of climate, I want to be able to bring comfort, quality and practicality back. So many brands offer impractical products not suitable for the Philippine weather. I don't hate them, I'm just sharing my thoughts and opinion.
As far as I would remember, this would be the first time I shared the type of designer I want to be here in my blog. I don't know, it may seem random but I'm feeling inspired lately.
I finally get to upload and blog a long over due Japan Video Diary. It's been 3 months since the trip and upon editing the video, it just makes me miss Japan more. At school, we can't help but have long conversations about it, of how we enjoyed ourselves not just because of the pleasure of traveling but the experiences and learnings we got from it.
My fourth day in Japan was spent in Gumma. A place where silk is produced. It was an educational filled ride from Tokyo to Gumma. The 2 to 3 hours drive to there was all worth it. Sadly, my camera memory got full and I had to deal with the fact that half of my vlog and blog photos will come from an Ipod. Nonetheless, it was great exploring places out of Tokyo. Still, every place in Japan is picturesque. One thing I love about the country is that you can freely ride your bike to places without it getting taken. Japan is one of the safest places I have been to.
Expect the coming photos and vlog to have incohesive quality and edits.
1st semester for the year is over. I am now free to get back to my Japan trip posts. I apologize if I kept you hanging. I'm still recovering from 3 weeks of stress and sleepless nights which gave me cold and cough(I'm serious).
Forgetting Japan wasn't so easy for me. I am still not over with the country's beauty, orderliness and fashion. Everytime I look into my Ipod and Camera, I always browse through the photos I took in Japan. Remembering how hard it was for me to capture good photos with two gadgets while following a certain time. I had to hold my Ipod on one hand and the Camera on the other. The struggles of a blogger trying to document special moments to create great content.
If you've noticed, I'm not posting photos of the places I went to in Japan. I won't be posting any(maybe in the future) because I filmed a travel video and I haven't started editing it yet. I promise I'll start soon and I'll most probably upload it after all my outfit posts.

Questions like "Why are you in Japan?" "What are you doing in Japan?" and "How many days will you be staying in Japan?" are some that have recently flooded my Facebook notifications and messages; and my Instagram Account. I was too lazy to answer them one by one so I thought of answering all of them in one blogpost.
Before I answer the questions, here is the first outfit I wore in Japan. Since it was my second time to experience fall/winter it's only right for me to say that I need to document it. Layering pieces of clothing is something I don't normally do here in the Philippines(Yes, I am back in the Philippines) and it is something I would love to try for such a long time now. The Japan trip was the perfect place and weather to do it.
Question 1: Why are you in Japan?
Answer 1: I went to Japan because our school organized an exposure trip for all Junior and Senior Fashion Design students.
Question 2: What are you doing in Japan?
Answer 2: We had a tour on some of the most iconic places there for us to take inspiration of. Also, we went to a Fashion School and their Museum(This will be explained further on a different post).
Question 3: How many days will you be staying Japan?
Answer 3: I stayed there for 5 days and 4 nights.
Question 4: Who were you with in Japan and how many were you?
Answer 4: I was with my classmates, some Seniors and 5 faculty from the Fashion department. We were all in all 80 who joined the trip.
Question 5: Is it fall/winter in Japan?
Answer: Yes, it actually is. It was the beginning of fall but it was really cold.
This is probably the longest post I have ever done. I only answered 5 because some questions were already related to this bunch. I hope I was able to feed your curious minds with answers. I am currently missing Japan. I am even thinking about everything that happened there while I am writing this post.
If you were following me on instagram you would know by now that I was able to go to Philippine Fashion Week last May 31 in SMX Convention Center. The show was really great. I loved all the designs and I even got to meet the gorgeous Ms. Kim Jones. She's really beautiful and sweet. I also saw Ms. Katarina Rodriguez of Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 2 walking down the runway. I went to the show with some of my friends and really enjoyed it. Actually, I was able to go to Philippine Fashion week last year but I never really got the chance to blog about it.
